Regarding the CAN bus: I know that it exists and can do many cool things.
Unfortunately, this knowledge doesn't help me realize my project, which I'm planning to do in my vehicle. I've read some things here, but without a few expert opinions, it's unfortunately not going to work out, as I'm having trouble understanding .
The project I want to undertake is to fully integrate a Nexus 7 tablet into my 2013 Skoda Yeti.
Unfortunately, I am not satisfied with either the original or the replica radios.
It's possible that there are good radios available now, but I've realized that the journey is more important to me than the destination. Part of what I need also requires CAN-Bus, and unfortunately, I don't know anything about that area, so I'm hoping for some help.
If there is interest, I will provide a complete and detailed description of the entire project in the appropriate subforum.

Welcome!
I'm using a Nexus 7 with a custom-programmed CAN bus interface .
(On/off logic, steering wheel remote control, and OEM display control) in the Vectra C.
Even my original hands-free system still works, although that has less to do with the CAN bus.
I actually solved the whole thing using an Arduino.
