Hello,

I'm not getting any entries with the RKS+CAN interface and the CanMonitor tool.

Very rarely, I receive a message, but only about once every 10 times or less when I connect the interface.

The diagnostic tool is reading something, but it seems to be working.

Does the Polo 6R transmit anything to the interface?

The diagnostic connector (U31) is located at T16b/11.

regarding T73b/18 a-can-l with J519 body control module.
Regarding T94/67 a-can-l with J623 engine control unit.
T32/29 a-can-l with J285 control unit in the switchboard housing.

Again, the diagnostic CAN only goes to the gateway control unit in the Polo.

If you just want to follow along, you'll need to connect directly to the CAN bus and other systems. Ideally, this should also be implemented in the gateway control unit, as all buses converge there.

How can I find the position where I need to apply pressure?
Engine control unit.

Based on how I interpret the wiring diagrams, they are connected... so, the question is, how do you figure that out?

You should ask Erwin (siehe Fehlerdatenbank) for the wiring diagram for your Polo and then check which wires need to be tapped into at the CAN bus driver, etc.
