I'm currently working on a Cup-Lupo model from the year 2001.
A Trijekt control unit is being installed in this car.
The problem is that the Trijekt control unit doesn't send a CAN signal, but the ABS control unit requires a CAN signal. So, my question is: is there a way to control the ABS control unit without installing a new ABS system that doesn't have CAN bus control?
I think there must be some way to 'fake' a CAN signal.
Please provide the text you would like me to translate from German to English. I will provide the translation as quickly as possible.

Best regards, Flutscher.

Hello,

What signal are you missing?
There's a protocol in the trijekt that at least transmits the engine speed (for the instrument cluster).
To the best of my knowledge, there have never been any problems with the ABS.
It continues to function normally.
Only ESP (if available) is no longer working.

Sure, here's the translation:

As far as I understand, the trike cannot send a CAN signal.
The car doesn't have ESP, only ASR.
However, the ABS control unit requires a CAN signal from the engine control unit (Trijekt), which, as mentioned, does not transmit a CAN signal.

What specific type of Trijekt control unit do you have?
Since the beginning of 2007, trijekt control units have had CAN bus functionality.
If the device is not too old, you can enable the VAG protocol using the latest firmware.

ASR will no longer function.
ABS yes.

Oh, so it's a bit older then...
Okay, then it's possible that your tachometer will stop working.

A possible solution would be something like this:
CAN Interface

Thank you in advance for the helpful link.

But why shouldn't the tachometer still be working?

For the engine speed, we have a camshaft signal. Currently, we have a stack display installed that shows engine speed, shift indicator, oil pressure, etc.

Oh, I thought the engine control unit (ECU) would be controlled via CAN, like in the series.
Then everything is fine, and you usually don't need anything else.
