I am involved in tuning VW TDI engines to run on vegetable oil and optimizing them for maximum efficiency. My current Passat 3B6 with a 2.0 2V pump-injector engine has gone from an initial consumption of 6.3 liters per 100 km to 4.8 liters per 100 km. And there's still room for improvement...

To achieve this, it's also necessary to collect a large amount of data from the CAN bus, which is how I ended up here.
