Hello,
I have a Golf VI Variant with the 1.6L TDI engine, Climatronic, MFA (Multi-Function Display), and the RNS310 navigation system. I recently purchased a Thermo Top V unit from a Golf V, complete with hoses, pipes, brackets, exhaust silencer, and water pump. I would like to control it via CAN bus, like a factory-installed option, using the MFA (or is it even possible via the radio's touchscreen?). Is this possible? Or is this only possible with the nonsensical IPCU?
On the PC, the glow plug test, temperature measurement, fan (which only runs at 39% at 100%, which is unusual, normally it should run without any active SH?), and water pump are functioning correctly. A 12V relay connected to the diesel pump output is also clicking at a low frequency (a few Hz). This was tested via the W-bus on a K-line, as my Elm327 was not connecting to the CAN bus (according to...). Oscilloscope showing only minimal signal levels, therefore an old OBD2 cable was used.
What I'm still missing: Diesel pump (only the original one, I know), wiring harness, fuel level sender, diesel lines, and the connector for the Climatronic connection.
'Does anyone have a wiring diagram for the Thermo Top V? How does it connect to the Climatronic system?' There are already several different pin assignments available online for the 8-pin connector.
Thank you very much.
Stefan.
