Hello everyone, I've been reading here for a while now, and I finally need to speak up because I'm at a loss.

I'm currently installing the electric parking brake from an Opel Insignia into a camper van, and the problem is that the control unit apparently cannot function without a CAN bus system. Is it possible to "trick" the control unit by feeding it data that it needs?

I would proceed by logging the data from the CAN bus of the parking brake in a working installation/vehicle.

Dann beim Nachbau schauen, ob es durch das abgespielte Log immer noch klappt und nach und nach CAN-IDs reduzieren, bis die übrig bleiben welche das Handbrems-Steuergerät braucht. icon_idea.gif
