Hallo zusammen!
I need to read the steering angle sensor on an Audi TT. According to my information, the CAN bus connections should be located behind the right side panel of the dashboard support at the A-pillar. However, I'm only finding holes with sharp edges there.
Is there perhaps still a way to read the signals near the control unit? They should theoretically be on the CAN High line.
Identifier, Startbit usw. hab ich, Hardware um die Signale zu verarbeiten auch.
VIelen Dank für alle Tipps und Hinweise!
Sure, here is the translation of the text from German to English:

Hello stitch007,
Try checking the Quadlock connector for the radio. You might get lucky and find that the information is also available on the infotainment CAN bus.
Nenn mir doch mal den Identifier, dann kann ich in meinen Logs nachschauen, ob dieser hier auch vorkommt.
Hmm, was willst Du mit dem Startbit?
Best regards,
Andi.
PS: My logs are from a vehicle of the 8J series, manufactured in April 2008.

Behind the glove compartment, in the main wiring harness.
or in the radio compartment.
CAN High is orange/black.
CAN Low is orange/brown.
I found something like this in my documents. But I'm not sure if it refers to the 'LWL' (likely an abbreviation for a specific organization or term).
