Hi,
I own a Polo 6R manufactured in 2011. I would like to install an RCD 310 radio. The car does not have a radio installed, nor does it have air conditioning.
Can I use the CAN bus on pins 6 and 14 of the OBD2 connector for the radio?
Thank you for your responses.

Hello,
no. If possible, you can connect to the CAN infotainment system at the diagnostic gateway and connect the radio here using a twisted-pair cable. -> Obtain a wiring diagram.
It remains questionable whether it will work, because depending on the model/year, different data transmission protocols are used on the CAN bus(ses) (VW TP1.6 -> TP2.0).
If such an adapter is necessary (and expensive), I would recommend opting for a high-quality OEM radio instead.
Best regards, Rainer.
