If the Mercedes radio operates at a low speed, does the TJA1050 transceiver not function there because low speed also uses different voltage levels?
However, you can't find anything using low-speed transceivers...

Compared to the tja1050/51, there are no available circuit boards, which suggests that they might not be necessary. Furthermore, the information found online is quite inconsistent and vague.

It seems that nobody worldwide knows or wants to say how to interface a car radio with a CAN bus.

Now I have someone claiming that you need a CAN decoder to convert the CAN data into something else, but since they don't specify what that 'something else' is, I'm not sure how valid their claim is.

Mercedes does not use a low-speed CAN bus.

The standard used (at least for passenger cars and vans) is ISO 11898-2, which sometimes uses a slower baud rate (83.3 kbps or 125 kbps).
