Hello, my name is Markus, I am 28 years old, and I come from Wolfsburg.

Let me tell you about my project!

I've been working on my Golf IV for a year now.
I have installed a 2.5 TFSI engine from a TTRS "CEPA" model, paired with a DSG transmission.
The car is running pretty well so far.

I have installed the appropriate speedometer, steering column lock, onboard computer, gateway, selector lever sensor, engine control module in the engine compartment, and various relays for the Audi system.

The system generally operates independently within the golf course.
"Also, I also installed a Golf wiring harness, which still uses the Golf's central locking system."

The systems are then connected to the OBD interface and can be read out together.

The Golf features K-Line and CAN High/Low interfaces.

My problem is the following.

The ABS system in the Golf uses the K-line, and the transmission requires proper signals from the ABS system to function correctly.
Now, we're just missing some messages.
Technically unusable due to its reliance on internal sensors, but it has a failsafe mode!

Okay, it's actually about the communication between the DSG/engine control unit and the ABS of the Golf IV.

I've been searching for various simulators, but no one has been able to give me any good advice on how to implement it properly.

Okay, I need something from K-LINE for Canada.
Or, alternatively, you could tap into the ABS wheel sensor and send the data to the CAN system.

Then there's the question of which protocols need to be sent...?

It seems like I'll need some technical equipment costing a few thousand euros, and I'll probably have to go back to school.

I'm starting to get really frustrated. I went into this renovation with absolutely no knowledge of electrical work, and I have to say, I've come surprisingly far considering how little I knew.

PS: All cables soldered and neatly wrapped icon_wink.gif.

Best regards,

Hallo, willkommen!

Quote:

Hello,
I would need the complete ABS system, including the control unit, as well as the wheel sensors, etc., from the Audi.
Furthermore, I'm not entirely sure how the entire system will work with my "old" 4Motion drivetrain.

I just checked the ELSA documentation, and it confirms that the CAN bus is connected to the ABS (Anti-lock Braking System).
I need to have it hidden.

The speed signal at the instrument cluster (Ki) in the Golf was transmitted via the transmission, so I believe it was a gala signal.
Now, I need to get the speed signal from the ABS and transfer it to the Audi CAN bus.
"That's why he's striking now, and he's saying 'Missing messages from the ABS' in the engine and DSG control unit."

The question is, who or what can actually implement this?
I'm willing to learn and eager to try, but if someone who knows what they're talking about tells me, "Don't bother, you won't learn that in 10 years," then I need to find someone who can actually teach me.

It's easier said than done.
I can't even find anyone who can adjust my tank's fuel trim settings.

I would really like to be able to do that myself.

Nun, dann würde ich de CAN vom ABS mal an den Motor-CAN anklemmen und schauen was passiert...

I actually connected the CAN bus to the OBD interface.
Should I specifically route the CAN signal from the ABS to the engine CAN bus again?

Okay, I will do that.
I assumed that I could apply CAN everywhere, as long as I could ensure that I could always set it to High/Low icon_lol.gif.
In my case, the CAN Golf and CAN Audi connections meet right behind the diagnostic connector, and the K-line is externally pinned, just like it was originally.

Connect the diagnostic connector, then connect it to the Golf's CAN High/Low lines, and solder the Audi's CAN High/Low lines to it.
He goes directly from there to the Audi Gateway, and then to the components DSG (direct-shift gearbox), engine, steering column, gear selector sensor, etc.
The CAN bus transmits data throughout the vehicle's electrical system.
The Audi CAN bus is connected as specified in the wiring diagram.

"This way, I can read out Audi components using the Gateway configuration list and Golf components using the control unit selection."

I thought that since CAN is merged there, I essentially have a complete CAN bus system, and if the data exchange works, it works. icon_rolleyes.gif icon_rolleyes.gif

Okay, I will first read a little more about the subject matter icon_smile_thumb_up.gif.

Es gibt keinen "Golf"-CAN, genau so wenig wie einen "Audi"-CAN. Es sind mehrere Busse im Fahrzeug vorhanden, siehe Schaltpläne und Namen der Unterforen hier. icon_idea.gif

I understand that, I'm just trying to explain it because that's simply the way things are.

From my perspective, it might be called "xyz CAN," but I'm just explaining what I did so that people here can understand what I did.
It's simply two systems that are connected only via the CAN bus.

Dedicated fuse box SA and SB in the engine compartment, and dedicated SC mounting brackets in the interior, all specifically designed for Audi technology.
Unfortunately, I don't know the names of the various CAN protocols, types, or whatever they are called.

I connected the CAN drive to the CAN drive, as it should be.
I don't know what happens next, and I have no idea where to find out... I'm just a novice in this area!

The car is running well and is in great driving condition.

My only problem is the one I described.
Since I'm not aware of any conversions like that, you also won't find anything about it.
It would be important to know which tools I need to implement this.
Half the internet is full of simulators and similar things.

But what exactly do I need? I don't want to just buy something randomly.
It's just questions upon questions.
I've been working with engine control unit (ECU) parameter maps for a while now and have various tools for that, but when it comes to CAN communication, I'm not really familiar with it.
As I mentioned, I'm going to take in all the input now to try and find some common ground.

Ich habe CAN Antrieb mit CAN Antrieb verbunden, so wie es sein sollte.

Also ist das ABS an den CAN vom TFSI Motorsteuergerät schon angeschlossen?
Wenn ja, was genau bemängelt das Fahrzeug? Ich empfehle einen VCDS Autoscan.

"The engine and DSG are reporting very basic information, with no communication to the ABS control unit!"
The ABS control unit is not communicating with the engine control unit.

ABS and ESP are not active due to the lack of communication with the engine control unit.

Yes, it is connected icon_smile_thumb_up.gif.
