Hello!

Can someone help me? These IDs don't work in my Passat at all!

But 0x680!!! This ID is used to route all data to the FIS, for example, the 'Audio' menu, etc.

Why is that? Has anyone else experienced this issue?

Thank you for your help!

Best regards.

There are 4 IDs responsible for communication in total, but unfortunately, I can't say exactly which ones, as my usual computer is being repaired and I hope it will be working again by the end of the week icon_smile.gif.

Sure, here's the translation:

'Just off the top of my head.'

2E8
696
6B6
I can't quite think of anything right now.

The fourth one is 4d6.

And the ID 208 that Sven mentioned is likely 408 (for AI).

What kind of Passat do you have? Maybe it has VWTP 2.0. Almost all of the IDs here refer to VWTP 1.6.

Almost all of the current model series have TP 2.0, for example, the Golf V. I believe the Passat B6 also has it. The CAN IDs in TP 2.0 likely differ in part from those in TP 1.6.

Axel.

The current Passat, as well as all other VW and Audi models, are based on the TP2.0 standard for data exchange. The broadcast messages are the same, or some new ones have been added.

TP2.0 uses dynamic IDs for data exchange, which are negotiated during the connection setup. Therefore, the IDs can change. It's not quite as simple as TP1.6, but it works icon_smile.gif.

I haven't been emulating a navigation system for a long time, because I have my own navigation system in my car icon_wink.gif.

I've been able to elicit responses, but somehow the timing is off.
E

hi,
I hope you're still online from time to time and reading this.

How did you manage to provoke that response?

Did you do all of that in the car, or at a 'desk'?

Regards,
Markus.

I've just been watching your attempts! Have you been able to create any advertisements on FIS yet?

Sure, I can help you with that. Please provide the text you would like me to translate from German to English. I will do my best to provide an accurate and natural-sounding translation.

As for a 'small guide,' I can offer some general tips for translating from German to English:

* **Pay attention to word order.** German word order can be quite different from English word order. For example, in German, the verb often comes at the end of the sentence, while in English, it usually comes before the object.
* **Be aware of false friends.** These are words that look or sound similar in German and English, but have different meanings. For example, the German word 'bekommen' means 'to receive,' not 'to become.'
* **Use a dictionary or online translator.** If you're unsure of the meaning of a word or phrase, don't hesitate to look it up. There are many excellent online resources available, such as Google Translate, DeepL, and Leo.
* **Read your translation aloud.** This can help you catch any awkward phrasing or grammatical errors.

I hope these tips are helpful! Let me know if you have any other questions.

Best regards, MaPa.

Hello everyone,
I'm new here, but I'm surprised that I haven't come across this thread earlier, considering all the Google searches I've already done. This thread is actually older than my problem.
Okay, so I built a car PC with a 7' touchscreen, an Intel ITX motherboard, a Bluetooth DVBT card (with amplifier), Wi-Fi, a card reader, a DVD burner (slot-in), and so on.
I'm still experimenting with the software, and I'll build the GPS receiver once my etching system is finished (I want to include dead reckoning functionality).
Okay, so now let's get to my problem.
I would like to install the entire PC into a custom-built case within the double DIN slot (radio and CD player, possibly also the cup holder area) of my Golf 4. I would like to keep my Gamma radio for vehicle diagnostics and good sound quality.
For my project, the radio would need to be completely disassembled from its casing so that it can potentially be installed inside a PC case or in the glove compartment.
Now, this raises the issue of usability. Some CAR-PC software solutions offer the ability to control relay cards, etc., via the touchscreen.
'So, I would like to replicate both the display and the user interface of the radio in LabView or a similar environment, and then control the radio via the touchscreen of the PC. There are various ways to control the radio, such as replacing the radio's buttons with a relay card, but I'm not sure how to replicate the radio's display.' My idea would be to repurpose the interface that is currently used by the MFA (Multi-Function Display) and the steering wheel controls.
However, I don't know what the communication protocol looks like, so I can't convert the data into a display on the PC, etc.
Do you have any thoughts on this, even though, or perhaps especially because, the thread is a bit older?

Greetings from the newbie.
