Hi!
I have a VW Navi MFD-D and I would like to control my CarPC using the navigation buttons. My problem is that I don't know how to emulate the TV tuner so that the navigation system also sends button presses. Although I receive a few messages on the CAN bus every second, nothing additional happens when I press the buttons. Has anyone ever done this before, or have any ideas?
Best regards,
Paul.

Hello.
You should try to recreate the initialization sequence.
Initially, commands are exchanged, which allows the navigation system to recognize that a TV tuner is installed.
Once I get my computer back, I'd be happy to send you a log file.
Sure, here is the translation of the text from German to English:
'Cu' is a Spanish word that means 'with'. It is often used in greetings and farewells. For example, you might say 'Hola, cu' to someone you are greeting, or 'Adios, cu' to someone you are saying goodbye to.
'Cu' can also be used as a verb, meaning 'to be with'. For example, you might say 'Estoy con mi familia' to mean 'I am with my family'.
In some cases, 'cu' can also be used as a noun, meaning 'a companion'. For example, you might say 'Ella es mi cu' to mean 'She is my companion'.
I hope this helps!

Okay, I have now implemented the emulation of the TV tuner .
Can most of the buttons be programmed to send CES signals or other commands in TV mode?
Okay, now things are going to move forward a bit .
I can upload my small test program if you need it.
It's in a very early testing phase.

Hello!
It looks very promising; why don't you upload the program? With the weather we've been having these past few days, I'm in the best crafting mood !

Paul.

@rammelsberg
I plan to make a few minor optimizations this weekend so I can release the program for testing with a clear conscience.

The program is finished; it emulates the TV tuner and sends the button presses to a program. Now I just need to figure out where to upload it.

It works!!!!! I'm thrilled, infected, and it's running! I didn't even know that the program could process keystrokes.
Now I can soon install my beautiful radio back into the car...
Great job, thank you!
Regards,
Paul.

As soon as you go on vacation, something happens here .
And how is it going? Have you managed to get the CAN bus working with the FIS yet?
Regards,
Sven.

Yes, I can describe and initialize the upper part well, as well as create the menu. I haven't made much progress with the lower part yet.
I've also discovered new IDs on the Comfort CAN again .
How are you doing?

I'm familiar with all the IDs in the comfort CAN, but I'm still having trouble with the IDs in the engine CAN.
Okay, I'll probably start building my own computer hardware sometime this week.
Regards,
Sven.

Have you been able to describe the lower part in the FIS system yet?
2. Can we compare the data from the Comfort CAN bus?
3. What kind of hardware are you planning to use?

1. Okay, here's the translation:
'Jop'
2. How does it compare? VW TP 1.6 is just VW TP 1.6.
I need to slowly start dealing with all of this again. Everything has been on hold for almost half a year due to a lack of time. I need to log and analyze the CAN bus data from the engine again, and all the control units are already here for that .

Are there any advancements in TV tuner emulators?
I want to develop an adapter to run the Xbox through the TV tuner input of the MFD (Multi-Function Display).
I don't have any experience with CAN-bus yet, and I urgently need the protocols to develop such an emulator!
Who can help me with this?

Hello everyone, I would also like to read the button values in TV mode. I have a multi-function display (MFD) and can already listen to the CAN bus, but I don't know the initialization sequence for the TV tuner.
Could someone please post something?
