Hallo Leute!

Ich bin hier neu, und bräuchte äußerst dringend Hilfe, habe sonst keine Infos zu meinem Problem gefunden!
IcI need to write a program in Java (or possibly another language) that works with CANoe.
I contacted Vector, and they suggested it could be solved using a COM server, but apparently, this needs to be programmed in .NET?!
Does anyone have experience with something like this?

Thank you in advance,
Cat.Has anyone had experience with something like this?

Thank you in advance,
NekThank you very much in advance.

Hello neko,

It is supposedly possible to control CANoe from other programming languages. Please refer to the 'COM Interface' entry in the CANoe help documentation.
CANoe provides a set of ActiveX objects that allow, among other things, starting/stopping CANoe simulations from external sources, writing/reading environment and system variables (data type: Variant), starting CAPL programs, etc.
For LabVIEW, CANoe even provides a set of ready-made VIs.
You can also find demos in the program directory.

However, if you need to specifically trace CAN-LIN messages with your program or send certain messages, there are other ways to achieve this without using CANoe or Vector products.

I hope this helps you a little.

Hello Neko,
I don't know if it is still relevant, but I worked with this stuff some time ago. I had to implement the control of the Vector CAN Stress module into our measurement system because I was too lazy to convert everything that had already been done into CANoe CAPL. I did it within Borland C++ Builder using COM objects (not a COM port, for sure icon_smile.gif). I spent several nights learning how to do it, but in the end, I realized how simple it is. Of course, I consulted with Vector support staff; they are very helpful, but unfortunately, they didn't have any usable examples in C++. But now the job is done, and I can share it with you if you still need it.

Best regards,
Vaclav.
