D2XX Drivers: Custom Software Solutions

Hi,
I'm trying to create some software myself to communicate with the CAN-USB adapter.
Using the virtual COM port driver is really simple, almost trivial. However, this can lead to me missing some messages (500 kbit high-speed drive CAN).
The Lawicel ActiveX driver seems to work with this adapter, but I'm too stupid to get it running in LabView. The ActiveX driver works perfectly fine with VB.
Okay, so I've tried using the D2XX driver from FTDI. I can 'detect' the device, but I'm not getting any response from the CAN part. Do I simply need to send the same commands (e.g., v[CR]) that I normally send via the COM port, but now through the DLL to the USB driver, and then the driver will pass them on to the CAN module? Or do I need to initialize something beforehand or use different commands?

Maybe someone can give me some tips.

Hmmm...
Okay, never mind. I probably made a mistake somewhere in LabVIEW.
It actually works quite simply by sending the appropriate commands via a DLL.

...it is also possible to simply include the RKS-USB.DLL file from the RKS+CAN into LabVIEW.
