Vehicle Speed Signal Required for ME 7.1.1

Hello, I'm new here and need some help.

Unfortunately, I'm unable to fully utilize the engine's power during the modification of my Golf III because the vehicle speed information is missing from the engine control unit.

Is there a way to simulate the ABS control unit or trick it into thinking that a fixed speed is being maintained, so that no error message appears?

Sure, you just need to know how the speed information is transmitted from the ABS system to the engine control unit (ID, position within the frame, factor, offset, etc.). With that information, you can program a small microcontroller (I often use an Atmel AT90CAN128, but an Arduino would also work) to send the data accordingly.

Or you can take the GALA signal from the speedometer and feed it into the control unit.

There should also be a distribution box with blue individual outlets on the ZE panel; the cable color is white/blue, and you can tap into it there as well.

Many engine control units (ECUs) have a "speed recognition" feature that is used for various data fields. I'm not sure if this is also the case with the ME7.1.1, but it's likely.

I would construct a corresponding CAN message from the speed signal.
