Dear forum members,

I am Rüdiger and I'm new to the field of CAN hacking.

The following project is what led me to you: I own a Mercedes-Benz S-Class (pre-facelift). Originally, I wanted to connect a Raspberry Pi to the built-in TV tuner and control it via an AirMouse. Unfortunately, for some reason, the audio from the TV tuner stopped working after the initial successful connection.

"Now I'm wondering if it would be possible to connect the Raspberry Pi directly, instead of using a TV tuner. However, this would require first tricking the COMAND system (DX version with D2B and 16:9 display) into thinking that a TV tuner is connected, and also keeping the COMAND system active. Ideally, it should then be possible to control the Raspberry Pi via the COMAND controls and the steering wheel buttons."

Anyway, I would really appreciate it if I could find some help or existing knowledge on this topic here.
