Hello guys,

The fact is, you can still read the car's data using a simple K-line interface, and apparently, the interior including the radio still uses a 3-wire bus system, as it was later converted to CAN.

Now, my question: I intend to modify it to use the dashboard of the current TT 8J (logically, FULL-CAN).

What should I be aware of here? Who can definitively support me with this?
I will consequently need a simulator that can generate the corresponding protocol and send it to the dashboard in real time?
(Compensation will be based on the amount of work performed icon_biggrin.gif).

With competent assistance, I will also try to do it myself.

Thanks in advance.lThe fact is, you can still read the data from this car using a simple K-line interface, and it seems that the interior components, including the radio, are still based on a 3-wire bus system.Okay, so the question is, I intend to retrofit the dashboard of my current TT 8J (logically, FULL-Can).

Hi.
Okay, the K-line is still present in many vehicles. And by 'reading,' you probably mean diagnostics. This function still works via the K-line even in some newer vehicles, even if they already have a K-CAN system.

You would need to analyze the incoming signals and determine which ones are required. Basically, this includes things like engine speed, vehicle speed, and signals such as the ABS warning light, etc.

I would first check the TT and Audi forums. Someone has probably already done a similar conversion. There are likely modules available for this as well. It's very probable.

Hey,
genau das ist das Problem.
An dieses Thema hat sich noch keiner gewagt weil viele meinen, es wäre unmöglich....

I refuse to accept this.

What would you need if you were able to help me here?

Please provide a detailed list. Then I would try to organize those things.enCould you please provide a detailed list? Then I will try to organize those things. Please provide a detailed list. Then I will try to organize those things.
