Two Knots on a Plug: A Story

Hello,

Is it possible to power two devices from a single outlet, and if so, what do I need for that?
I want to read the signal from the CAN bus of my Golf's comfort module, but I don't want to constantly remove and reinstall the radio.
Is there an easy way to tap into a cable here?
Is there another location on the Golf 6 where a connector for the comfort CAN bus can be installed?

mehrere physikalische Geräte am einem bestimmten Punkt am CAN Bus anzuschliessen ist i.d.Regel kein Problem.
Neben dem Radio bietet sich bei Deinem Fahrzeug auch das Diagnose-Gateway Steuergerät an, hier findest Du alle im Fahrzeug genutzten Busse und kannst diese Anzapfen, z.B. per verdrilltem Verlängerungskabel und SUB-D 9 Buchse.

I suspect that more data passes through the diagnostic gateway than through the one for comfort functions. I think I'm making things unnecessarily complicated.

Can I connect something in parallel to the plug, or is there anything I need to be aware of?
