Hello there!
This morning, I turned my Smart car into a Christmas tree.
I first connected the adapter to the CAN bus while the engine was running, and everything seemed fine. Then I plugged in the USB connection, and immediately it appeared that the entire CAN bus (drive system) shut down, causing my car to completely lose all (analog) displays and have all the lights flashing wildly. After disconnecting the bus, everything went back to normal.
I tried it again later, and the result was the same.
Then I turned off the engine, connected the CAN bus, connected the USB, checked that the software was working correctly, and then started the car. Everything worked properly. Even disconnecting the CAN interface, unplugging and replugging the USB, and reconnecting it while the engine was running all worked...
Did I get it wrong the first time and use the adapter incorrectly? It should normally behave quite passively until it receives further instructions.
I will test the issue more thoroughly and see if it was just an isolated incident.
Sebastian.

Okay, this morning I cleared the error codes again (it's good to have an OBD interface for that) and, no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't trigger the error code again. Maybe the interface had a bad day. It was probably still 'temperamental' from my attempts to install software other than the CAN-Hacker on it.
Otherwise, I and others are diligently collecting and identifying IDs.
Great interface and beautiful software!
Sebastian.

Simply use the RKS+CAN system... it works.
