Hello,
I am looking for the CAN bus in my vehicle.
Unfortunately, it's not connected to the OBD2 port.
In the Opel TIS2000 system, I was only able to locate the CAN bus at the engine control unit.

Where are you tapping into it?

Best regards,

Obtain the wiring diagram... the diagnostic gateway (control unit) should have all the necessary wires nearby.

I have the wiring diagram. The CAN bus is not connected to the OBD port. It only supports ISO 14230-4 KWP and Opel's proprietary protocol.
I only see the CAN bus connections in the wiring diagrams running from the engine control unit to the ABS control unit and the body control module. However, all of these units are located in the engine compartment. I still have the info-CAN bus in the radio, but it doesn't do anything for me.
Does anyone have any advice?

The Meriva is essentially built on the same platform as the Corsa C.
Thank you very much!

Okay, so you've found the CAN drive, what's the problem now?

In newer cars, there is typically a gateway control unit where all different types of buses (e.g., CAN for powertrain, comfort features, etc.) converge, and from there, the CAN diagnostic data is routed to the OBD2 connector.

If your car is relatively old and the diagnostic process uses a K-Line or similar system, you will only be able to access the respective CAN buses directly. It doesn't really matter where you tap into them, but with the gateway, they're all in one place.
Exception: Some Ford models simply connect everything to the CAN pins on the OBD2 connector. You don't have one, though. icon_wink.gif

It's very difficult to access that area. You'll need to remove several parts, such as the battery, headlights, wipers, and drainage channel, before you can even begin. And then you'll still have to open the large cable harness. I would have preferred to have something tapped icon_confused.gif.
