Hello everyone,
I need 2 pins, specifically the two small connector pins that are inside the CAN gateway connector in a VW (in this case, a Golf V). What are their exact names, and where can I buy them?
The background is as follows:
I ordered the Golf V without a radio back then. Therefore, the entire infotainment CAN bus is missing. Even at the CAN gateway, the contacts in the connector are not connected. Lovely crap!
Now, I want to install an MFD2 and, of course, I need the connection to the infotainment CAN-bus for that.
Thank you & Best regards.
Martin.

Hello,
You can buy the pins at a regular VW parts counter, but you'll need someone knowledgeable and willing to help you find the specific ones you need.
Perhaps someone in the forum already knows the VAG part number and would be kind enough to share it.
Best regards, Rainer.

The problem has been resolved. My brother-in-law had an old wiring harness from a Touareg lying around. I was able to identify and disconnect a few contacts using the appropriate cable.
Now I have the infotainment CAN bus installed in the radio compartment.
