ATMEGA16M1: Is it possible to use this microcontroller directly in a CAN bus network? The datasheet states that it has an integrated CAN bus transceiver. If anyone has used this microcontroller, please share your experience.

Really? Where would that be located? I'm sure of it; I'm not aware of any microcontrollers with an integrated transceiver.

Most often, the CAN controller is integrated into the microcontroller, while the CAN transceiver is a separate component, such as the TJA1041.
