Audi steering column lever

'I have a steering wheel control module from a Q7, and my goal is to read the signals from the ACC (Adaptive Cruise Control) control. However, I'm only receiving the on/off signal, and I would like to read the other signals (distance, speed). I suspect that this is because I only have the steering wheel control unit, and the ACC control unit is missing. The ACC control unit, after receiving the on signal, sends a message cyclically on the bus – essentially, wake-up signals. Could that be the problem? Or can someone help me with this?' I'm monitoring the whole thing via PCAN.
