While this is a bit off-topic for now, what equipment did you use to directly access the K-CAN bus on the BMW? I'm looking to get equipped myself.
If anyone needs wiring harnesses, connectors, or anything else related to BMWs, I'd be happy to help.

Regarding the controller, for the F-models produced from 07/2012 onwards, there are two different types with distinct CAN buses. The blue connector for the controller is labeled K-CAN 1, while the black connector is K-CAN 2. Both have different signal structures and are not interchangeable. Therefore, you need to pay close attention when monitoring or injecting signals, as not all signals from the gateway (the FEM in the F20/30) are relayed on every bus line.
