CANHACK USB Adapter, no PC required

Hello,

Is it possible for the CANUSB adapter to perform certain functions without a PC? For example, sending a specific message with a particular ID every x milliseconds? This would be very useful for tasks like unlocking the TV input on the navigation system during PC boot-up or displaying 'PC booting' on the FIS (multifunction display).

Just another crazy idea of mine.
