I don't understand why we need to keep this information so private. We should make everything as public as possible. The more information people have, the more likely they are to want to help, and the less time they will waste trying to figure things out that we already know.

Hi CAD.
Yes, in some points you are right, and I understand what you mean. But the problem is that it's hard work to obtain this information, and there are too many people who want to know everything but don't want to contribute anything in return.

Hello.
I am currently writing a thesis where I need to create CAN matrices, not just for the Volkswagen Golf V, but ideally for every manufacturer and model.
'If I could have access to your database or the Excel spreadsheet, I would be very grateful. It would give me a starting point for understanding how VW handles things, and I believe Skoda/Seat will likely have a similar approach.'

Creating K-matrices for every manufacturer and model is a lifelong endeavor. And if you're writing a master's thesis on this topic, you (or your program) should know how to contact the vehicle manufacturers and obtain the necessary information. 'The K-matrices are subject to the strictest non-disclosure agreements, and no one will readily reveal them.'
Rest has already been written above by p.ostrich.
'But the problem is that it's hard work to obtain this information, and there are too many people who want to know everything but don't want to contribute anything.'
Best regards,

Hey everyone,
I'm currently doing an internship where I'm tasked with equipping a test vehicle (a Passat CC). To my knowledge, the CAN IDs are relatively the same across all VW models.
My own attempts at decryption haven't progressed very far . However, I could offer to buy the IDs and bytes from you.
Specifically, it concerns the steering angle/speed, ABS/ESP intervention, brake light, and mileage.
Do you have this data and are you interested in a business opportunity?
Thank you very much for your answers .

Hello everyone!
Sorry for writing in English.
I have some free time and I'd like to contribute to the project.
My car is a Skoda Octavia II, model year 2008.
Where can I upload information?

You could have already done that in your previous post...
1. "Select file" button.
2. Button: "Choose file"
3. Button "Upload selected file"
4. Posting "Submit"

OK, here are my CAN bus logs and some additional information. FineCan is an application designed to analyze frames in the Lawicel format.
I'm trying to implement PDC to OPS emulation and I'm searching for details of the following IDs:
0x497
0x6DA
Maybe more?
If anyone has a log file from a vehicle equipped with an OPS+RNS510 system, please share it with me.
The next step will be to display the climate settings on the RNS screen, but without any logs or even the slightest hint, it seems impossible for me to achieve.

ID 54B is present even when the older pdc (version 76) is installed, so I guess it's for backward compatibility.
Another ID that I cannot find in my car, but which is present on cars with OPS (Online Programming System) enabled, is...

"Do you have any idea what these IDs are used for: 0x658, 0x67A, 0x6CA?"
P.S. The data in the "time" column are not correct.
