Hello everyone.
I'm starting with a MotorCan Octavia TFSI, and thanks to the forum, I've been able to find information on things like RPM, but I haven't been able to find information on turbo pressure. Could someone help me with that?
Thank you.

Sorry. Is your German not very good, or did you just type faster than you thought?
What have you been up to so far?
Where did you obtain your CAN bus data?
Sure, here's the translation:
'lg' is a German abbreviation that stands for 'liebe Grüße,' which translates to 'best regards' or 'warm greetings' in English.

I used the can tool program to read the data from the car's computer and compared the values with those obtained from VAG-COM. During a bus reading of the car's engine, the VAG-COM software indicated a turbo pressure between 1050-1070 mbar. Sorry for my German.

Perhaps it would be better to write in English?

Thank you. For me, it's better in English. I'm looking for the boost pressure information for the engine of my Skoda Octavia II. I'm reading the CAN bus data using the can tool program and the Lawicel CAN-USB adapter, and then verifying the read data with the measurement blocks in VCDS (Vag-com).
At this moment, I still haven't found the boost pressure, whether it's absolute (boost pressure plus atmospheric pressure) or differential (absolute pressure minus atmospheric pressure).
The attached file contains a log generated under the following conditions.
- Atmospheric pressure: 1000 mbar.
- Absolute pressure: 1050 to 1070 mbar.
'Can someone please help me find the pressure value?'
'Vielen Dank und viele Grüße.'

Hi!
Please provide the German text you would like me to translate into English.
Byte 5 represents the boost pressure.
The range is between 0 and 2.54 bar.
The telegram is present on the infotainment bus.
Best regards,
Maxx.

You're welcome.
I've read about Byte 4 in ID 555, but in all the 2.0TFSI 200HP and 2.0TDI 170HP engines I've tested, Byte 4 is always 0. Then this pressure is only present in the infotainment system for some models, which is why I'm looking in the motor compartment to find the source of this pressure.
Best regards.
Munietas.

Hi!
You wrote 'Byte 4', but I've written that the information is in 'Byte 5'.
Best regards,
Maxx.

Hi.
In my car, byte 5 of ID 555 is also 00. I think the boost pressure information is not available for the infotainment system for all models of the engine.
Best regards.
Munietas.

Of course, that's possible.
I'm not familiar with your car.

Looking for your avatar, I think you have a Golf V GTI. In that case, you have a TFSI engine. Have you checked if you can read the boost pressure using the ID 555?

Yes, I have a GTI.
Currently, I don't have the opportunity to trace the CAN bus because I haven't yet connected a SUB-D connector to the bus.

Hi.
How did you determine the absolute pressure, given a range from 1050 to 1070 mbar, with only a 20 mbar difference?
You need to observe which identifier changes when the pressure increases.
It's a little tricky to figure out which ID and which byte are being referred to.
Maxx: Could you please provide a breakdown of the boost pressure?
'Thank you.'

Is that not absolute, or what?
But how is the resolution there? Probably Hex multiplied by 0.01!

I can't tell you whether it's absolute or relative.
The value range is decimal 1 to 254, with a step size of 0.01.
