Hello everyone,

My A6 (4F) has Audi's air suspension system. I want to lower the car in the summer. However, when adjusting the ride height using VCDS (VAG Com), all modes (Sport, Comfort, Lift) are lowered by the same value 'x'. But I would like the car to be low *only* in Sport mode and maintain the standard height in Comfort mode.

Kann mir jemand sagen, ob das System über CAN arbeitet bzw. ob man so in den Bus eingreifen kann, dass man das Niveau für jeden Modus einzeln einstellen kann?

Or does anyone know of another way to achieve this?e?Or does anyone know of another way to achieve this?

I think it's likely that this is handled via CAN bus. Try logging the data to see what happens when it's switched to 'Sport' mode, or when your VAG system makes a change. If that's the case, you would need to create a filter to control it.

Okay, the system uses CAN (and isn't connected to the MOST ring). However, selective lowering seems too complicated because adjusting the ride height requires measuring the height of all wheels and then entering those values through an adjustment channel. That would likely be too complex for a CAN box, or the adjustment process would take several minutes because it involves multiple adjustment channels. Therefore, I lowered the car by a general 20mm. Now, the height is also suitable as it is.

naja was heißt zu kompliziert. ich denke man müsste die Box ermitteln lassen, welchen Modus (Sport, komfort oder so) du drinne hast und dann diese jeweils eingreifen lassen.
dThe problem will be that the giver can't transmit the height information directly, but probably through PWM. These signals would then need to be modified...

It's definitely not going to be easy, but check if there isn't a lowering module available. I'm almost certain it's possible.
Best regards,

'lg' translates to 'best regards' or 'kindly regards' in English. It is a common abbreviation used at the end of emails and letters.

Hi,

There are lowering modules available.

Variant 1.

Lowering via tester/VCDS - Lowering approximately 30mm, depending on the level the system reaches in order to perform the measurements.
The AAS control unit with part number 4F0 910 553 B allows for an input value of up to 415 mm at the rear axle and up to 414 mm at the front axle.
The Adaptive Air Suspension (AAS) control unit with part number 4F0 910 553 C allows for an input value of up to 415 mm at the rear axle and up to 410 mm at the front axle.

The standard settings are VA (front axle) at 386mm and HA (rear axle) at 384mm, which allows for a lowering of approximately 30mm.

Option 2.

Lowering module from the company Wilhelm.

It reverts to the standard values above 70 km/h. I used it for a while, but wasn't really satisfied with it.
I still have it here.

Option 3.

MTM lowering module.

How did you actually implement it in your own setup?

Best regards,

I still have one more option icon_smile.gif.
Das Gestänger der Niveau sensoren ändern...
A'But be careful not to adjust it too much, because the problem is that you're changing the height but not the suspension travel.
