Hello, I'm new here and my name is Tim. I came across this page because I want to install a speedometer from the new Focus into an older Ford model. After looking at the pinout, it became clear, as I suspected, that it almost exclusively receives signals via the CAN-Bus control unit. So, I wanted to do some research online about that, and that's how I ended up here.
It would be great if someone could help me here and provide a few steps on how to proceed. Ideally, not in technical jargon, but in a way that everyone can understand.
I also created a post about my problem in an existing thread, because this kind of issue seems to occur from time to time, so I didn't want to start a completely new topic right away.
