Hello,
I purchased this CANUSB adapter.
procures:http://www.canhack.de/en/viewtopic.php?t=137
My first attempts involved using the included CAN-Hack.
Monitor checked.
These attempts almost drove me to the brink of madness.
My first candidate, a Peugeot 307 SW T5, unfortunately turned out to be a lemon.
Only CAN communication on the drive, i.e., the motor.
Transmission, ABS (Anti-lock Braking System), and ESP (Electronic Stability Program). According to Peugeot, a data rate of 500 kbit/s should be used with an 11-bit identifier.
to be spoken. Okay, quickly establish the CAN connection.
connected to the BSI (Central Control Unit), which integrates the CAN and VAN networks.
are distinguished by their pin configuration.
Measuring the voltages on an active CAN bus. According to Peugeot specifications, CAN-H = 2.6V.
Can-L=2.3V, and these were also measured by me.
Measured resistance: 60 kOhms. Adapter.
Connected and program started. Result: All error lights are on.
Error message: MSTG CAN motor disabled by BSI. Now for half a day.
wasting time trying different connection methods.
and after the CAN drive fails, clear the DTCs in the DIV.
Tax devices.
To put it simply, Peugeot apparently doesn't know what they're putting in their cars.
'installed.' After I was about to give up...
I simply changed it to 250 Kbit/s, and lo and behold, everything worked.
without disrupting the CAN bus.
Since my interests are different. Central locking and power windows are included with this model.
Unfortunately, it's connected to the VAN bus, and it doesn't seem to be compatible with the adapter.
reachable, I definitely haven't gotten that far yet.
Van is a 3-wire bus with the lines Data-Data, B, and...
+VAN, Data, and Data,B are twisted together in the same way as in CAN. In the case of VAN, they are...
'no terminating resistors are installed in the control units, and the voltage...'
is 1-4V, and the speed is 62.5 kbit/s according to Peugeot.
specified. So, no possibility of VAN?
Peugeot switched to a full-CAN architecture with the introduction of the 307 T6, as well as...
According to Peugeot, the latest T5 models only run on CAN bus, but this has its advantages.
I'm not having much luck with my car right now either. Hoping for some improvement.
Sure, here's the translation:
'Answers, with regards.'
Franz Josef.

I also have a C2 with VAN, and unfortunately, my adapter is also lying around in a corner... If you find a way, please let me know. But don't get your hopes up too much, unless you build something yourself.

Hi!
I'm also working on something with the C2 right now.
I would like to try to analyze windshield wiper signals, etc.
to tap into the steering wheel electronics.
Unfortunately, I also stumbled upon the VAN-BUS.
If anyone knows anything, that information would be extremely helpful!

Hello,
Do current PSA vehicles still use the VAN bus? How common is it?
Best regards, Rainer.

Current status:
Quote: | So, my car is a Citroen C4, 2nd generation, manufactured in September 2013, with a Magneti Marelli RT6 type navigation/radio system. Latest software version.
According to my research, all Citroen, Peugeot, and Renault vehicles manufactured in France are equipped with VAN systems. This doesn't apply to vehicles purchased from Mitsubishi (3008, 4008, etc.). So, it's likely that most cars from these brands have this feature.
That would need to be verified. Also, it is likely that only the comfort and telematics systems are available for vans | .
