FIS IDs/Protocol: Guide & Implementation

Do you know the IDs/protocol needed for sending information to the FIS (Multi-Function Display) in a 2006 Passat via the infotainment CAN bus (and are willing to share)? I would like to be able to send data from my Empeg (an in-car MP3 player) to the FIS.
