Hello everyone!
Since the CAN adapter arrived today (first of all, thank you for the quick processing  ), I naturally want to connect it now. For me, the interior CAN data is of primary interest at this point. I can already get the other data from OBDII.
Vehicle: Citroen C2, manufactured in 2005.
The car is electrically identical to the Peugeot 206. I have also found the following pinout information. Can anyone help me determine which pin is CAN high, CAN low, and ground?
Here is the list:

I would say yes now.
Pin 2 = low.
Pin 3 = high.
Pin 4 = ground.
However, I am also open to being corrected, or I would appreciate confirmation (based on this wiring diagram).

Before I connect the CAN adapter, I think I'll just double-check something.
I've now measured between pins 2 and 3. I'm not an electronics expert, but I think you can't really go wrong when adjusting the multimeter and measuring the value.
'I'm definitely getting a reading of 80-90 Ohms. The value is constantly fluctuating. Is this within the normal range, or can we still talk about tolerances here? Are there any differences in this regard between the different CAN buses? As I mentioned, I want to connect to the comfort CAN.'
PS: Something else I just noticed about my first post: it says 'Comfort VAN'. This applies until the end of 2004. From 2005 onwards, the CAN bus  should be present.

Okay, you can also measure the voltage. There should be approximately 5 volts at the Can High pin and 0.5 - 2 volts at the Can Low pin. Set your multimeter to measure voltage, make sure the probes are connected correctly for voltage measurement, then connect the negative probe to the vehicle's chassis (ground) and use the positive probe to check each of the two pins on the bus individually. If the bus is active, you should be able to measure the higher values. That way, you can be sure. But please be careful when taking measurements.

Hi,
I don't speak very good German.
Citroen and Peugeot do not use CAN for comfort functions. They use a VAN bus connection. From an electrical standpoint, the VAN bus is the same as a low-speed CAN bus. While the protocols are similar, they are not compatible.
The problem with the VAN bus is that there are only two ICs available for VAN bus connection, manufactured by Atmel: the TSS461 and the TSS463, but it is almost impossible to find and purchase them!
There is some software implementation of the VAN bus, but it is currently very unstable.
On Citroen C2, C3, and Peugeot 206 models, there are 3 VAN buses used for comfort functions. Two of them operate at 125 kbit, and one operates at 62.5 kbit.
I've been working on these kinds of things for quite some time... maybe in the future we'll develop a VAN analyzer, but for the moment, I simply don't have the time.

Yesterday, I tried to get the can, but I was frustrated because I couldn't get anything at all.
'So now I know, at least, that it wasn't my fault.'
Since every mechanic I know told me that there would be CAN functionality, I was very hopeful.
Whenever you are able to find something or get something done using VAN, I would appreciate it if you could let me know.

Thanks again for this message! It will save me a lot of time and frustration searching for errors.
Since I was planning to post something today anyway: I searched for CAN again yesterday, but had to fail. Therefore, there is no Comfort-CAN connected to the radio in the C2  , and that's despite every workshop telling me otherwise. This also explains why I always measure 80-90 Ohms (again yesterday).

2005 wurden AUSSCHLIESSLICH der 206CC sowie NEU-Entwicklungen ( also Nachfolgemodelle von bestehenden Serien) auf CAN umgestellt.
Even the 207 was only added in 2006, and the 307 not until 2007 - while the 'standard' 206 likely wasn't converted at all, but rather PSA continued production unchanged with VAN until the 206+ was introduced (in 2009). In any case, there is NO documented CAN bus conversion here.

What I haven't been able to find right away is a solution to the fundamental problem. How can I get in touch with the VAN?
Is there any readily available, off-the-shelf hardware for this, or a schematic diagram?
Are the chips still available in the schematic?
Or is there anything based on FPGAs?
So far, for FPGAs, I've only found information about an ARM chip with an integrated FPGA, for which there is supposed to be a VAN library. But using an ARM core just to shift a few bytes would be excessive.
Zum Hintergrund: Ich will ein Autoradio welches alles kann. Also CAN/VAN.
But I want to filter the radio's write access to CAN/VAN using a whitelist.
I don't want to buy a new car either, and frankly, I really like the 307CC, especially as a 'new used' car. It's better than the 308CC or anything other manufacturers make or have made. So, even if I buy a different car now, just because of the car radio, this problem will probably come back to me eventually, like a boomerang.
