Hello, I'm new here and don't really know much about the system, but since 'nette' and Bosch couldn't help me, I'll try my luck here. I no longer have a rear wiper, but the control lines for the CAN bus are still in the trunk. Now, I would like to simply connect a ground signal to this line when I push the wiper towards the front. Is that possible? Would my controller recognize it if I installed a different circuit board...? It would be great if someone could help me with this. Oh, and I drive a Polo 9N3. Best regards, Manuel.

Hi,

that falls under it / that applies to it.
Please provide me with two options:
'Figure out which CAN IDs are responsible for controlling the mass, build a control unit that listens to these IDs, and then use that information to control the mass.'

'Wouldn't it be possible to remove the electronics that are already attached to the motor and replace the motor with a relay instead? The relay could then control various functions.'

That is just the opinion of a layperson icon_smile.gif.

Greetings,
Vassloff.

Yes, the first option would be great, but as I mentioned before, I'm more of a pizza maker in this sector. I've also considered the second option, but the wiper's design is so complicated that I would have to add some relays to bypass the circuit board.

Die Frage stellt sich, was willst du machen, und was darf es kosten???

I don't think the windshield wiper is connected to a CAN bus. It's probably controlled by the central electrical system. Please double-check that.
Sure, here's the translation:

'Best regards.'

Der Heckwischer des Polo 9N3 wird direkt über den Wischerhebel gesteuert.
There's no control unit involved.
At the rear, there's only a +12V connection that's switched by the lever.

That's exactly what I think too.

It's absolutely correct; I checked the circuit diagram. icon_smile.gif
