Hello everyone!

I plan to read out the data for burner starts, temperature profiles, and heating curves from my Junkers condensing boiler, analyze it (probably using Excel), and develop optimized settings based on that analysis.

The Junkers boiler has a CAN bus module that allows it to communicate with control and management units.

What I need now is an interface that allows me to read this data along with timestamps.

Ideally, I'd like a USB interface that I can somehow make work with my Synology disk station.

Could someone please help me with this project by providing information on potential hardware and software solutions?

I found an offer for a CAN interface in this forum, but the last entry is already a few years old...

Thank you very much for your help!

Berndi.

Okay!

I recently purchased a CANUSB and successfully connected it to my Heatronic.
It also works perfectly well under Windows with the CAN-Hacker.

But that's not all yet:

I am a proud owner of a Synology DiskStation, which is a Network Attached Storage (NAS) device running a Linux operating system.
I managed to install the Linux-based driver and mount the CANUSB device.

I would now like the CANUSB to permanently write the trace results to a SQL database, but unfortunately, I have absolutely no idea how to do that.
I'm not even getting a signal from the Heatronic because I don't know how to connect the CANUSB correctly.

Can someone perhaps give me some ideas and tips?

Best regards,
Berndi.

Hi,
